Where to go on holiday in May

The May Day holiday is almost here. Have you figured out where to go during the holiday? If not, consider paying a visit to some popular attractions in Shanghai and embarking on an immersive tourism experience. Here are some recommended tourist attractions.

Shanghai Disneyland

Shanghai Disney Resort has been ranked as the top tourist destination in the city according to the recently released Shanghai Tourism Index 2022. Since its opening in 2016, Shanghai Disneyland has been one of the most popular theme parks in the city.

Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden

The Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden is located in the Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort in Shanghai's Songjiang district and covers an area of 207 hectares, making it the largest botanical garden in East China. Today, Chenshan is a national 4A-level scenic spot and member of the international community of botanical gardens, as well as a leading facility dedicated to the collection, conservation and cultivation of plants in China.

Jiading Wisteria Park

Every spring, the Jiading Wisteria Park - located in the Jiading district of East China's Shanghai - attracts hordes of visitors, drawn by its wonderful wisterias and now is the best time to view them as the flowers are in full bloom. The park greets visitors with breathtaking beauty and floating scents. A variety of wisteria trees are in bloom in purple, white and pink, creating a romantic ambience.

Guyi Garden

Located in Jiading district's Nanxiang town in Shanghai, Guyi Garden covers an area of 146 mu (9.7 hectares) and ranks the first among the five classical gardens in Shanghai. The most graceful scenery in the garden is the mountain, which is fully covered with green, elegant and graceful bamboo.
