Twenty international student representatives from ten countries, along with Chinese faculty and students, gathered in the library lecture hall of Baoshan Campus to watch the commemorative ceremony and military parade. Those international students who could not be present on site or had returned to their home countries for summer vacation and had not yet returned to school also followed the live broadcast through various means.

Everyone expressed that by watching the September 3rd military parade, they gained a deeper understanding of how the Chinese people, with their tenacious will and heroic struggle, achieved the great victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and made significant contributions to the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War. We International students were invited by College of International Education to watch military parade on big screen in Library along with Chinese students. Today on 3rd September 2025 marks the 80th Victory Day for China.
As leaders of many countries were also invited and became the part of this historical event. At the end of the live parade performance we took some group photos. As we saw military parade along with all the progress, made by the Chinese people.
Looking into the eyes of parading men and women, I observed the history, hard work, kindness, warmth, passion and unity. Collaboration on the road of Peace.

I attended the live viewing of the military parade on the large screen in the Library Lecture Hall at Shanghai University, Baoshan Campus. It was a unique and memorable experience. Watching the parade together with many students created a strong sense of unity and pride.
The event was very well organized, and I appreciated the clear arrangement and atmosphere in the hall. The highlight for me was definitely the air force scene. Seeing the planes flying in perfect formation on the big screen was both exciting and inspiring. It showed strength of the military, discipline and teamwork.
Another part I really enjoyed was the chance to take photos with the military personnel who were present at the event. I was impressed by their professionalism and friendly attitude. Taking pictures with them made the experience even more personal and unforgettable.

It was quite an interesting experience to watch the Military Parade on the Large Screen in the Library Lecture Hall. Perhaps the first thing to catch my eye was the amount of passion and enthusiasm shown by the military as well as the people watching them. This indicated the depth of the love for their nation and the strength of their desire to see China flourish.
It was also very nice to see many world leaders from all around the world, like President Putin and President Kim just to name a few, attend this ceremony too. This also showed that China celebrates with her allies and has grown internationally as well over the last 80 years.
Finally, I think it is also remarkable to realize that it was intentionally organized that this Military Parade was broadcast here in Shanghai University for students and professors to watch. Surely, it was intentionally broadcast in other universities and public places as well for people all over the country to watch and appreciate the nation in unison. I feel this is a wonderful act to strengthen the feeling of patriotism among the people and to unify the country even more.
Overall, I would say it was a worthwhile experience to watch the Military Parade alongside my classmates and professors.
