The three-day forum attracted nearly 100 international students and mentors from 17 well-known universities in the Yangtze River Delta region, who engaged in discussions on cutting-edge academic issues. Participants came from 37 countries, such as the United States, the United Kingdom and France.
The event featured sub-forums focusing on science and engineering, medicine and pharmacy, agriculture and environmental sciences, and the arts, humanities and social sciences, providing a platform for academic exchange.
"I am appreciative of the opportunity to participate in this forum. As one of the presenters and the host of the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences subforum, I seized the opportunity to learn from colleagues in various fields. I was greatly inspired by the passion shown throughout this forum by the seniors present. It inspired me to work toward improving our community," said Lo. She presented her research exploring the relationship between social media use and mental health, demonstrating strong academic and organizational skills.
Kseniia gave a presentation on "Russian-Chinese Cooperation in BRICS", offering insights into Sino-Russian relations within the BRICS framework and bringing an international perspective to the forum. "The academic forum that I participated in was very interesting. It brought together talented and well-educated international postgraduate students from around China. I really enjoyed the exchange of knowledge among students during our sub-forum. The topic of my academic report led to some lively discussion. Moreover, I was honored to be a representative of all international students and gave a speech on their behalf. That was an amazing experience! The event was very well-organized. I hope to take part in similar conferences in the future," she said.
The forum also included an academic poster exhibition, where Fudan University's international students showcased their research, attracting much attention.
During the salon, students discussed academic writing challenges, cultural adaptation in China, and paths toward academic innovation.
The forum fostered academic dialogue and collaboration, enriching the academic landscape in the Yangtze River Delta region.
