In a bid to enhance support and services for its international student community, East China Normal University (ECNU) has announced the trial operation of the Global Education Center (GEC) Reception Hall, which officially opened its doors on March 18.

The GEC Reception Hall, located on the second floor of the physics building at the Putuo Campus, is set to provide a comprehensive range of services that cater to the needs of international students. The center aims to streamline support for students who may encounter various challenges during their academic journey at ECNU.

For prospective students seeking to enroll or continue their education at ECNU, the GEC Reception Hall offers information and assistance on a wide array of topics, including program categories, application requirements, procedures, accommodation details, and other application-related queries.

Additionally, for current ECNU students, the center provides support for visa application documents, study certificates, accommodation consultations, insurance inquiries, and other campus-related matters.

The GEC Reception Hall operates from 8:00 to 17:00, Monday through Friday, and can be reached at 021-62232013. The establishment of this facility underscores ECNU's commitment to providing a conducive and supportive environment for its international student community.

The Global Education Center serves as the centralized management department for all international students at ECNU. It strives to continuously improve the quality of its services as well as ECNU's overall learning environment. The launch of the new reception hall represents a significant step forward in the center's pursuit of an "excellent service" work model.
