Foreign students from the East China University of Science and Technology recently shared their life experiences in China on the school's official WeChat account:

I have lived in Shanghai for several years. Life in China has changed everything, including my thinking and habits. The first thing I learned was to drink hot water. Have a headache? Drink hot water. Got a stomachache? Drink hot water. Hot water cures all ills. Another habit I've changed is eating steamed buns. I used to eat bread every day but now steamed buns have become my staple food. I feel more and more like a "Chinese girl".

Whenever I go to another province for vacation, I prefer to travel by high-speed rail. The high-speed rail network in China covers almost all urban areas, making it possible to reach any city you want to visit. The design speed of the trains has reached over 250 kilometers per hour, with the fastest running speed exceeding 350 kilometers per hour, making China a world leader in high-speed railway operations.

-Li Xiuhuan from South Korea

In my country, the lowest temperature reaches -20 C. When I was a child, my father took me to Harbin in Heilongjiang province for a trip and it was my first time seeing such thick, white snow. I even ate ice cream in the cold weather – it was an unforgettable experience. During the trip, I visited the Ice and Snow World, as well as the Saint Sophia Cathedral. However, my favorite activity was definitely going ice skating. Recently, Harbin has caused quite a stir, bringing back wonderful memories, and I hope to go there again.

-Tang Jiaqi from Indonesia

One time, I needed to take a train from Xi'an in Shaanxi province to Shanghai. I didn't realize how far this journey was because in our country the furthest distance between two regions is only 300 kilometers. I didn't expect the journey to take 20 hours. I was unprepared and had to purchase expensive instant noodles along the way, and ended up eating four cups in one go. My lower limbs were almost completely numb and my back hurt. After nearly a whole day and night, I finally arrived at Shanghai South Station. What made me happiest was not just reaching Shanghai but also the train's arrival at the station. Now I often travel by high-speed train; I even made a video about taking the trains in China.
