Shanghai University International Students Join Local Graduates at “Career Express” Job Fair in Baoshan’s NanDa Smart City
On May 22, Shanghai University’s College of International Education took its international students to the “Career Express” job fair for 2026 Yangtze River Delta graduates, held at the NanDa Smart City in Baoshan District. There, alongside thousands of their Chinese peers, they explored the job market and looked for opportunities.

Connecting International Students with On-the-Ground Job Access
Before the event, the College of International Education found out that several companies at the fair were hiring specifically for international talent. With the fair located close to campus and offering roles matching the students’ majors, t the International Student Service Center quickly arranged for students to sign up and attend — giving them a real chance to connect with employers in person.
The job fair brought together nearly 500 companies, offering more than 10,000 well-paid positions in cutting-edge fields such as smart manufacturing, biomedicine, and chip development. At the event, international students from Shanghai University walked from booth to booth, resumes in hand, actively talking with recruiters. Many of them said the experience was not just about finding a job — it also served as a window into China’s latest industrial developments.

As more Chinese companies expand globally, international graduates who understand both their home cultures and the Chinese market are increasingly valued — bringing a unique combination of skills to the table. Going forward, Shanghai University will continue to strengthen collaboration with local districts and build more diverse internship and job platforms for international students. This will help more outstanding graduates land job offers and realize their dreams in China.
