Donghua University International Students Immersed in “Digital China” with Zhangjiang Science City Visit

On April 21, 2026, Donghua University organized international students in China to visit Zhangjiang Science City in Shanghai, launching the "Smart Convergence in Zhangjiang - Digital Empowerment: An Innovation Practice Tour of the Science City" event to experience China's technological innovation and digital development firsthand.

The event, themed around technological innovation, digital China, and high-quality development, utilized the "Innovation Journey" bus classroom and a metaverse immersive exhibition hall to allow international students to understand China's innovation ecosystem through their travels. They boarded the innovation bus and explored Zhangjiang Science City in a loop, learning about the layout of the three leading industries - artificial intelligence, biomedicine, and integrated circuits - through professional explanations, and directly experiencing the rise of this science and technology hub.

In the SPSPace Metaverse Exhibition Hall, cutting-edge technologies such as naked-eye 3D "Future City", digital twin city base, and virtual digital AI guides enabled the students to experience diverse scenarios such as smart parks, intelligent manufacturing, and medical health in an immersive way. The students touched the innovative achievements of digital China in the fusion of virtual and real.

As they walked, observed, and learned, the students broadened their professional horizons and deepened their understanding of Chinese-style modernization in this real-life classroom. This visit allowed them to truly feel China's innovative vitality, and they would act as bridges for cultural exchange between China and the world in the future, telling China's innovation stories and spreading the voice of China's development.

With technology as a bridge and communication as a medium, this "Experience China" event not only enabled international students to deeply experience the charm of China's digital technology but also built a platform for cross-cultural communication, helping them understand and interpret China from a more comprehensive and three-dimensional perspective.
