March in Shanghai means the arrival of spring, with city's magnolias coming into bloom. It's also the time when ECNU welcomes its new international students. Here's a look back at how we helped them start their journey.

A warm welcome was waiting right at the airport. From the moment they landed, our volunteer team was there to greet them, helping with the journey to campus and making sure everyone arrived safe and sound at their dorms. It’s amazing how a friendly face can turn the unfamiliar into a place that already feels like home—and that’s exactly how their first day at ECNU began.

Once on campus, the check-in process went smoothly thanks to our volunteers, who helped with everything from registration to luggage. A few kind words in a new country can go a long way—and soon enough, that unfamiliar feeling gave way to the comfort of knowing: this is home for the journey ahead.

At the registration venue, a one-stop service desk was available to streamline the process. Document verification, course registration, residence permit guidance, bank and mobile card assistance, campus card activation, and health check-up appointments were all handled in one place. Staff members were on hand to answer questions and ensure that every student completed their check-in smoothly—ready to begin a new chapter of academic life.
