Lighting up the New Year's prologue

Do you still remember that night illuminated by fantasy and passion?

On December 30, the Global Education Center and the International Students Union successfully hosted the 2026 International Student New Year Party.

The event, themed “Fantasy in the New Year,” featured a variety of exciting segments including a COSPLAY showcase competition, talent performances, scholarship awards, and a gift exchange.

Photo zone and a gift redemption zone were set up at the entrance of the party.

Students dressed up as various characters, capturing memorable moments in front of themed backdrops and exchanging exquisite gifts with “mystery friends.” The atmosphere was warm and lively.

The most eye-catching part of the party was undoubtedly the COSPLAY show!

Students dressed up as characters from anime, movies, and games-the God of Wealth, Nick and Judy, Woody and Jessie... every costume was truly eye-catching.

Participants brought their characters to life through lines, dances, and songs,

earning continuous applause from the audience.

The students picked up their phones to cast their valuable votes for their favorite characters.

Based on judges’ scores and on-site voting, the first, second, and third prizes, as well as the Excellence Award winners, were finally announced.

Following the exciting atmosphere of the COSPLAY Show, we welcomed the Excellent International Student Scholarship Award Ceremony.

This ceremony not only recognized the recipients’ dedication and hard work over the past year, but also inspired more students to keep moving forward in the year ahead.

May every ECNUer continue to shine brightly on their own path!

Amid the warm and cozy atmosphere of the gala, Ms. Huang Meixu (Director of GEC) extended sincere New Year wishes to all international students.

Her words were kind yet full of strength,encouraging everyone to dare to try new things in the coming year.

This warm companionshipmade the students far away from home feel the warmth of a family.

Accompanied by music, students took photos, and enjoyed lively conversations.

The gift exchange area was full of surprises, as exchanged gifts carried warm wishes.

This heartwarming segment brought the evening to a joyful close.
