Co-hosted by East China Normal University's International Education Center and the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), the 2025 Summer Homestay Program for U.S. High School Students has officially launched amidst the picturesque scenery of Liwa River!

From June to August, nearly 200 teenagers from over 100 American high schools will arrive in two cohorts at this institution brimming with wisdom and vitality. Carrying curiosity and passion for the Chinese language, along with deep fascination for the country's culture, they will embark on an immersive journey of cultural exploration—experiencing firsthand the profound depth of Chinese civilization and the vibrant diversity of its local customs.

During these unforgettable days, they strolled through the campus, marveling at the grandeur of its academic halls; experienced the speed and convenience of China's mobile payment revolution by scanning QR codes at convenience stores; ventured into Qingpu's countryside, embracing the rustic charm of rural life; bonded with Chinese host families, discovering the heartfelt warmth of Eastern kinship; and explored Shanghai's urban soul—from the futuristic Urban Planning Exhibition Hall to the iconic Bund—each moment revealing new layers of the city's global vitality. Every second sparked cultural epiphanies; every interaction wove threads of cross-cultural understanding.

This is a spectacular celebration of youth! On this vibrant land, teenagers from China and the United States will build bridges through language, convey friendship with their hearts, and together write a cross-border, transcultural legend of youth. The excitement is unfolding right here—an experience not to be missed!
