Small stalls were selling bright red lanterns amongother festive decorations for the upcoming celebration. Amongst the crowdscouldn't help but overhear the conversation between lady and a man that werewondering which beautiful decoration they would take-home hope they had funcelebrating; this might be their lucky year!

Photo Name: Youth Preserves Tradition

Description:The thing that shocked me the most during my visit in Xi'an over the winterbreak, was the obscene amount of young people walking around in Hanfu(tradition Achinese clothing). This particular girl was posing gracefully atthe DaxingshanTemple so much so that occasionally white pigeons would fly near her! The warmsunset light and the golden blossoms of the wintersweet tree complement herdress perfectly. lt’squite refreshing and yet touching to see that China's young generation embracestheir culture, history and tradition rather than ignoring it or labelling it asoutdated . It would be amazing to follow China's example and make historyglobally trending as well!

Description:As the golden hour light fills thisancient water town with warmth, vibrant lanterns adorn the traditional Chinesebuildings, their reflections dancing on the calm waters below. The scene isboth peaceful and mesmerizing, capturing the timeless beauty of Chinese cultureduring the Spring Festival. Coming from Kashmir, I find this moment deeplypersonal. The glow of these lanterns remindsme of my own homeland’s richtraditions, yet they also symbolize the shared human longing forrenewal, unity, and hope. In this quiet reflection, I feel welcomed by aculture that embraces theworld with open arms.
