Sarah Garton-Eisenacher (Gao Siran): From Cambridge to Shanghai International Studies University - The Journey of Interpretation Explort

Gao Siran, a German graduate from the University of Cambridge with a specialization in Chinese Studies, was inspired to learn Chinese in high school and deepened her understanding by studying at Zhejiang University. Her dedication led to academic success and a strong bond with China. Later, she discovered her passion for interpretation while at Cambridge, which she pursued through work in consulting and education, and further developed by returning to academia at Shanghai International Studies University for a Master's in German Interpretation.

Despite a successful teaching career, Gao Siran's aspiration to become a professional interpreter remained unwavering. Currently, she is immersed in a learning environment at university, eager to enhance her language and interpretation skills, and views her time there as a pivotal step towards her future career.
